About Us, EDOW Young Adults

EDOW is the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, an area of Episcopal churches and campus ministries which includes parts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. We are lead and served by Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde.

The Episcopal Church officially defines young adult ministry as being ministry to those aged 18 to 30. You'll also often hear the term 20's and 30's, recognizing that today's young adults are often in transition longer than previous generations with young adulthood going into the 30's.

This age range can include young adults who are college students, young professionals, newly married young parents and many other places along the journey of life.

all that to say...

The diocesan young adult ministry office supports local congregations, and campus ministries and diocesan-wide events and programs for young adults in toward the goals of nurturing the spiritual lives of adults in their twenties and thirties and reaching out to those not yet engaged with a faith community.

We're here to serve you, and to serve with you! Questions? Looking to get connected with other young adults and a Christian faith community? Drop a note to Rev. Todd, your Young Adults minister for EDOW.
